“THE WATER SPIRIT”

A journey from script to stage.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

So how does it all happen?

To sum it up, it was a long process condensed in a few months of intense writing, and even more intense production for the crew and cast of the play. It started out as a project a few years out set in motion by Lucy Mercer, the Art Director of the theatre. I was the catalyst of the plot, characters, and other madness that I was in-charge of creating. It felt odd to conjure up stories that weren’t sparked by my own mind, but quickly I was able to string together what would eventually become the first draft of the script.

I was delighted to come up after the show and discuss inspirations and the process of script writing. With the director (left) and the cast (right) to weigh in every now and again. Really they all were brilliant!
